I received an email from Quest regarding the Peace of Mind program. This email said that gloves would be distributed.
I went to get bloodwork today at 7:45 am this morning and no gloves were distributed. Further, there was no alcohol to clean your hands with, only Durisan, which I was told is NOT effective against COVID-19 by the technician who drew my blood. This is unacceptable and far from offering peace of mind. Fortunately, I had my own gloves and alcohol with me, but my visit was far from offering me peace of mind, and without these precautions in place, my level of trust that the facilities were properly sanitized was left to be had.
Further, the technician told me that my insurance information was NOT in the computer, even though I have been going there for years on a monthly basis for a CBC and CMP for chronic Lyme disease treatment.
After expressing my distaste with having to go to my car and come back with my insurance card, thereby exposing myself longer than necessary, the technician finally said she would look it up from previous visits. I should not have had to do this
Preferred solution: put alcohol in facilities and hand out gloves to immune compromised individuals. .
